Movie about twin planets sharing an atmosphere?? Call my lawyer!!

Below is an image of a trailer for a movie where twin planets share the same atmosphere. It is eerily familiar to Nikolas and Co where Earth and the ancient Moon share the same atmosphere.

More and more I’m amused by a phenomenon in creativity. You kill yourself to come up with something original, then (by mere coincidence) someone else comes up with a similar idea. Yes, it is easy for the artist to think conspiratorially – that Hollywood has a camera in your house and is ripping off your ideas. But its more subtle and less pernicious. The fact is, we share the same cultural experiences. My clever ideas are not simply born from a flash of genius, but the product of a cultural reality we all share. In fact, if you do come up with a new idea that is so far fetched and cannot be found anywhere else, you may be in trouble. Your creativity is disconnected from your community. So, if a movie is coming out about twin planets that share the same atmosphere, I know I’m on the right track.

Oh, and the funny thing is, after I thought my idea was so new and clever, I actually found another book with a similar concept written in the 80’s. It’s called Rocheworld.
